If your child has a special diet due to MEDICAL reasons (allergies, Celiac disease, etc.), you should bring these special foods with you to camp. We will also need you to speak with the camp manager at check in to make her aware of your child’s situation.
We do not recommend that campers bring a vehicle to campus for camp. Auburn University, like most college campuses, has very little public parking. The parking lots adjacent to both the McWhorter Center and all campus dorms are University-permitted lots only. Any vehicle without a parking permit is subject to ticketing or towing (check-in and check-out days, excluded).
Due to the large number of campers that will be attending, the lobby and viewing balcony may be used to conduct camp activities. As a result, these areas will be closed for viewing during camp.
If your child is waitlisted, please keep a close eye on your email (including your spam folder), as this is how you will be notified of an opening. Once your child is offered a spot, you will have 24 hours to confirm by paying the deposit.
As long as your forms have been submitted online to augymcamp@auburn.edu, you are good to go and do not need to bring anything else with you to check-in.
If your child meets the USAG level requirement for camp, but is a year or two shy of the recommended age, she should be fine to still attend that camp. Camp groups will be organized according to both age and level, so your child would still be grouped with the younger-aged campers. Parental discretion should be used when deciding if your child will be comfortable with campers that are a bit older.
